Mandy is Chair of Reaching People (RP), a charity which brings together VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector) organisations in an innovative consortium. RP strengthens the VCSE through capacity building and shared learning enabling growth, and improving service delivery and outcomes, supporting people in need, and experiencing health inequalities. Members’ specialist areas include housing and homelessness, health and wellbeing and social care, education, advice, and information services.

Mandy is an experienced VCSE leader and a Specialist in Public health; a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and the RSPH, with over thirty years Public Health experience. She has worked in local authorities, the NHS, the Department of Health, and Social Care and in the VCSE working across public health programmes and functions; locally, regionally, and nationally. Her interests and expertise include work and health and health improvement and health literacy. Her work includes supporting research, training, service development and evaluation. She was formerly CEO of the Community Health and Learning Foundation (CHLF) nationally recognised for their health literacy expertise. RP currently hosts the evidence based national Health literacy resources Skilled for Health and owns CHLF’s health literacy training, materials, and resources. She is a member of the Midlands ARC Partner Board.
